Hatful of Sorrow

Hmmm I'm learning a new song.

This is it, it's very pretty, Depends a lot on the dynamics. I like how subtle it is.

Yeah... I should be workong on Girl and Strawberry Fields Forever for the upcoming recital...
but I'm not.
However, I'll pull through. I'm just... distracted by all the new music on Josh's website.

This site is my favorite for music. Most of the type the sheet music is readable. Sometimes it isn't. But that's okay too.

Hmmm vacation kills any initiative to get real work or practice done...

Post 2

Day Two

Today I went shopping for a bunch of stuff. I went to the following stores:

Forever 21
Charlotte Russe
Urban Behavior
American Eagle
Gap
Hot Topic
H & M
Pac Sun
.... Some ice cream place....

Yeah. Forever 21 was really great for shorts, actually. I got two pairs. Going to Japan this summer on the P2P ambassador trip, so I had to get khaki stuff to go with the uniform. It was difficult to tell where the limit was to how short my shorts could be. Like, I don't go around in super short shorts, but I didn't want to get like, bermuda style either. So it was a little hard trying to find a middle ground. I did end up with one pair of khaki shorts there, and a pair of grey ones with cute details on the pockets. =D I actually have the same pair also in turqoise.

Not many shirts there though. After a while,  the music was overwhelming and I got tired of all the printed shirt stuff. Those kinds of shirts really don't work on my body type because they're so flowy and I'm like a stick. So it was a fail, there.

At Charlotte Russe, my mother did not know what to think. She kind of has trouble in any store other than like, Gap or Hot Topic. Which sounds kind of funny, because those two stores have like nothing in common. She's trying to get used to my new style of shopping, which is 'hey, that store has bright colors in the window, let's go in!'

But we ended up with a few tank tops and khaki capris there. Right now, Charlotte Russe has lots of olive greens and browns, lots of printed long dressed. Kind of bohemian chic, it was pretty cool. My mother thought every skirt I tried on was too short, though. I'd like to point out that I have shorter items of clothing but this fact seemed to be irrelevant today.

Urban Behavior is good but I must warn that they run out of small sizes very quickly, so my choices were limited. Nevertheless, they have great Lace tank tops right now, and shirts that actually fit tight at the waist. Like, they didn't even have to pin them on the models they put out. I probably looked like a creeper, I was like, groping the mannequin, looking for a pin. So I got some cool scoop neck striped shirts there, too. There's a great plaid dress there, so if your size is large, go ahead and get it, because that's the only size they had of that dress. (bummmeer!!!)

American Eagle, Gap, and H & M were all a fail. American Eagle lacked my size, and everything else was terribly overpriced. Gap was the same, except their SMALLEST size of tshirt was still huuuuuge on me. Now, this is just an issue. Their sizing is getting larger, which is not fair. I know a lot of people complain about the opposite, that stores' sizing gets smaller and then their clothing is too small for many body types, well, I can say that the opposite problem causes the same amount of difficulty.

H & M was verrrry boring. Lots of tans and blacks and yucky purply-maroon colors. And I *like* purple. Their fall collection held much more variety.

Pac Sun was great, I got lots of striped tank tops. However, the music was blasting so loud, it was terribly hard to concentrate.

OH. Hot Topic, I got a JASPER tshirt for Twilight. My friends all made fun of me, but it's not like a got one that blared 'I BEAR EDWARD'S CHILD' or anything that fangurl-ish. I mean, geez. If you had to get a twilight shirt, get a Jasper one. Or an Alice one. Those two are much cooler than the others.

Btw, if you go to South Shore Plaza, their Hot Topic is having a signing on May 3rd for Lady Sovereign. They were blasting her music, it wasn't too bad. Starts at 3, need to buy a shirt or a cd to get in beforehand, though. Signings, hugs, hand shakes, chilling, all that. So go, because I'm busy that day.

STATE OF PLAY.

I saw it in a huge group and it was really really good. Look up a trailer on youtube, it was soo good. I'm not familiar with the actors Russell Crowe or Ben Affleck, but they were quite good. Excellent casting, also including Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren.

Totally recommend it. Some shooting, but nothing awful at all. Very well done, with a great twist at the end. Apparently it's based off some English tv series by the same title.

However, by the end of the movie, we still had no idea what the title's relevance was to the actual movie. I'm going to look up the term and see if it means anything.

Overall, I give it an 8/10. Because I am such a movie critic. Oh yeah.

Shopping is good. I probably shouldn't enjoy shopping so much, when I get older, I'm gonna live off Ikea furniture my whole life just so I can buy clothing and Converse. Oh yeah.

ps, loving the polka dot converse I saw at Lady Foot Locker! *drool*

Day One

Day one of being a blogger. Never thought I would actually make one, since mostly they're just people rambling on about their daily lives. What I'm curious about is how I'll ever end up with any followers who are honestly interested in what some person they've never met has to discuss on their blog page.

Whatever, this is something to pass the time, and a place to rant about things. Cool beans, man.

We'll see if anything awesome comes out of this, and I'll try not to make this like a Facebook Page.. "today I ate a delicious sandwich. Yum." Yeah... not pulling that. Kudos to David Boerman for mentioning that in his standup, though.

So I don't want this to be a completely pointless post, so I guess I should give my opinion on SOMETHING in this one post. Because reading blogs is really boring if the person has no opinions or points of view on something. Then it's just rambling.

Therefore, I will discuss Jackie Chan.

A friend emailed me an article about him, and geez. Pride in one's country much? Though I later read that his quotes were taken out of context, but still. Not thinking that the Chinese can be free? While perhaps it may be true that the Chinese aren't quite ready for a full out democracy, that Jackie Chan would say it on world wide telivision so blatantly really startled me. Though one of his remarks did make me laugh, something along the lines of rather wanting to buy a Japanese tv instead of a Chinese one, because a Chinese one would likely explode, with their quality of products.

Haha. The sad thing is it's true.

In other news, is it natural to eat all day and still be hungry? I feel like the very hungry caterpillar, who ate like a zillion things but was STILL hungry.

... maybe I'll turn into a butterfly too.
